Before the laboratory,
there was the garden.

Raised in Eastern Europe in a family shaped by medicine and herbalism, Svetlana learned early that plants were not decoration. They were material, knowledge and care.

Her instinct for the natural world was met with formal scientific discipline, culminating in a master's degree in Cosmetic Chemistry. Art, botany and chemistry became a single language.

In 2009, that language became Gressa.

The founder and the chemist are the same person.

Svetlana develops the formulas herself—working directly with the raw materials, the architecture of the formula and the finished batch.

Her approach is deliberately reductive. Scientific training provides the rigor; plants provide the extraordinary material. The question is never how much can be added, but what deserves to remain.

The Minimalist is characteristic of Svetlana's thinking: botanical serum and mineral pigment composed as one formula rather than divided into skin care and makeup.

It asks more of fewer materials. Treatment and color. Botanical intelligence and cosmetic performance. Science without abandoning sensuality.

More than fifteen years after founding Gressa, Svetlana remains its Master Chemist and Chief Formulator, developing formulas within the independent house she created.

The collection has evolved. The discipline has not.
