Beauty Takes Time™

GRESSA began the way most meaningful things do — not with a business plan, but with a problem that needed solving and a refusal to settle for less.

I grew up in Russia, where herbalism wasn't a trend — it was simply how my family cared for themselves. Plants, rituals, patience. That foundation never left me. When I came to the United States as a refugee, I carried very little with me, but I carried that.

Building a life here wasn't easy. I put myself through school, and it was with those college loans — $30,000 to $40,000 — that I took the leap and started what would become GRESSA. No investors. No PR agency. No safety net. Just a deep conviction that women deserved something better than what the beauty industry was offering: products that were both genuinely pure and genuinely luxurious — not a compromise between the two.

In 2009, I founded the brand in Seattle under the name Loveli. I was formulating, manufacturing, and bottling everything in-house. The Balancing Cleanser came first — and it changed my skin, then the skin of everyone around me. Word spread the way it always does when something actually works: quietly, honestly, person to person.

Whole Foods was our first major retail partner. We didn't pitch them with a polished deck — we earned it. That's been the Gressa way from the beginning.

Today, GRESSA is carried by over 70 wholesale partners, including Credo Beauty. Every press mention we've ever received has been earned organically — no publicist, no paid placements. Just the work.

I often say that GRESSA is a fusion of science, love, and art — all bottled in beautiful violet glass. Years of formal education, a tradition of ancient medicine, and my heart and soul poured into every formula.

My intention was always to transcend "green beauty" — to strip away the stigma and prove that a product can be uncompromisingly pure and couture. Free of silicones, preservatives, and anything harmful. Full of efficacy, texture, and ritual.

My dream is to earn a place in every woman's bathroom, purse, and nightstand — not just as skincare, but as a daily act of self-respect. Something that elevates and inspires her to be authentic, unapologetic, and fearless.
